Garden Angel Design is a woman owned business founded in 1995 by Sherry McGary, building on 20+ years of experience. All services are provided with an emphasis on ecological land care practices, low water usage and edible landscaping.


1989 Certified Master Gardener training at the U.C. Davis extension of the Sonoma County Farm Advisor office. This nine month course consisted of lab & lecture ten hours a week and covered everything from soil science to orchard management.

2003 Certified Permaculture Designer training at OAEC was a hands on two-week intensive training in sustainable systems design presented by Penny Livingston Stark and Brock Dolman. This comprehensive course included permaculture principles and ethics, on-site water development, erosion control, organic gardening, mulching, composting, alternative building and land restoration assessment and planning. The workshop completed with group design processes and presentations.
